Project Highlights ||  Yulan Studio President Lisa Holmes lives for more than just design work and client service (really). She, in fact, spends every opportunity she can hiking the mountains and forests of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Then the design thing kicks back in and she blogs about it. Lisa created her “I Heart Oregon” blog just for this purpose.

She designed a custom WordPress theme for her blog, highlighting several features we feel contribute to a good blog. Categories are used to sort the hikes by region, while tags are used for specific features such as wildflowers or waterfalls. A yearly archive system is used, and the home page features larger thumbnails with the dates and titles of each hike.
